Getting there and getting around

If you are coming from the Managua airport by car, you need to take the Pan-American Highway through Rivas and La Virgen and then turn right to get San Juan del Sur, it will take you about 2 hours drive.

If you are traveling by bus, you have to make a connection from Managua to Rivas for only C$55.00 or U$D2.50 and then take a collective cab to San Juan del Sur for C$35.00 or U$1.50.

Express bus from Managua to San Juan del sur, leaves from the same place at 12:30 noon and 4:00 pm, cost about U$D3.00

If you want to take a cab from Managua to San Juan del sur, you better take the airport cabs and it will cost about U$80.00.
